Pacific football club lost 3-1 to FC Edmonton on Sunday afternoon at Westhills Stadium. The fans were excited to see their home team back on home turf after Pacific’s four-game road trip in which they picked up 1 win and 3 losses. IMG_7790The game started as Pacific wanted to take advantage of FC Edmonton who has been in a goal drought. Victor Blasco would be close to picking up the first goal of the game, as his shot got pass Connor James the Edmonton goaltender and hit the post. FC Edmonton went on to pressure Pacific in search for a goal, it wasn’t until 32′ minute that Tomi Ameobi would score for Edmonton ending their goal-drought.

They went on to pick up another goal in the 38′ minute as Oumar Diouck wrestled his way through the defense to score. Edmonton was able to pick up another goal in the second half as Bruno Zebie scored in the 79’minute making it 3-0 Edmonton.

Frustrated after his missed opportunity in the first half Victor Blasco, ripped one past Connor James erupting the Westhills stadium crowd and sending them on their feet. Pacific would not be able to add anything else as Edmonton’s defense proved to be too strong.

Pacific will now be on a four-game home stretch which included this match, against Cavalry FC on July 1st, then again Cavalry FC on the 6th, and Forge FC on July 13th.
