Pacific FC and Forge FC drew 0-0 on Saturday afternoon at Starlight Stadium. It was a contest that proved to be a defensive, heavy-paced game. Pacific managed to keep their no-goal-against streak as they have not conceded a goal in the first five Canadian Premier League games.
The first half showed the dominance of the current champions Forge FC, however, Pacific FC’s defense withheld the Forge attack. The Tridents found only a handful of opportunities to score, but they were denied by the Forge defense or a foul being called.
The second was no different, the only thing being that Pacific showed more eagerness to score, which was quick to be shut down by the Forge side. After a few cards being handed out and a defensive tackle by Pacifics’ Reon Moore, he was deemed a red card, resulting in a send-off. The two sides were unable to be separated as the final whistle blew.
Pacific now leads the Canadian Premier League and lies at the top of the table with a one-point difference from Atletico Ottawa and Forge FC with one game in hand. The Tridents look to keep their defensive roll going when they take on Atletico Ottawa on May 17th, 2024, at Starlight Stadium at 7:00 pm.
