The Jr. ‘A’ Shamrocks travelled to Queen’s Park Arena Saturday to face the Salmonbellies and came away with a 15-10 victory. Zach Manns led Victoria’s offense with 4 goals and 3 assists but newcomer Teioshontathe Macomber had an immediate impact with a hat trick and one helper. Ben Preston added a pair of goals and 1 assist with singles coming from Caleb Kueber, Austin Madronic, Patrick Dodds Brayden Brown, Casey Wilson and Brian Robb. Cameron Dunkerley made 52 saves to pick up the win in goal. Next up for the Jr. ‘A’ Rocks is a mid-week contest as they host the Nanaimo Timbermen Tuesday at 8:00 pm at the Q Center.
Meawhile the Tier 1 Jr. ‘B’ Rocks battled the Nanaimo Timbermen to an overtime 7-7 tie at the Nanaimo Ice Center. The Tier 1 squad is back home to round out their regular season tomorrow (Sunday, June 30) as they take on the Maple Ridge Burrards at 1:00 pm at the Q Center.
