The 2019 Mann Cup came to an end on Wednesday night as the defending champions Peterborough Lakers claimed their third consecutive Mann cup title defeating the Victoria Shamrocks 7-5 and winning the series 4-1.

After a hard-fought battle between both teams, Peterborough was able to stay strong as goaltender Micheal Poulin stood tall to hold the Lakers in the series. Poulin went on to be named the Mike Kelley Award for the 2019 Mann cup.

Despite missing Jesse King, Rhys Duch, Casey Jackson, and Tyler Pace the Shamrocks were able to hold their ground until the end keeping the fans on their feet. Chris Wardle, Larson Sundown, Tyson Gibson, Graeme Hossack, and Chris Boushy scored the five goals for the Rocks as they played a more defensive game due to lack of offensive power. Shawn Evans, Kyle Buchanan, Thomas Hoggarth, Cory Vitarelli, Kiel Matisz, Holden Cattoni, Turner Evans,
Mark Matthews, Jordan Stouros, Chad Tutton were the goal scorers for Petersborough.
