The West Kelowna Warriors Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club have acquired  forward Carter Wilkie from the Chilliwack Chiefs in exchange for veteran Trevor Adams.

Wilkie, 19, comes to the Warriors after spending this season and last season with the Chilliwack Chiefs. The Calgary native has recorded 2 goals and 12 assists in 27 games played with the Chiefs. “We look forward to adding Carter to our roster”, stated Warriors Head Coach and General Manager Brandon West. “He is an impact player who will help us at centre right away. He has a good skill set to go along with his vision and hockey IQ”.

Wilkie is thrilled for his new opportunity in West Kelowna, “I’m excited to be a part of the West Kelowna community,” stated Wilkie. “The Warriors can expect a skilled player that brings a high level of compete to every game”.

Trevor Adams leaves the Warriors with five goals and four assists this season in 21 games played. “We would like to thank Trevor for his time here in West Kelowna”, stated Warriors Head Coach and General Manager Brandon West. “His leadership, character and abilities will be missed here and we wish him all the best in Chilliwack”. Adams, 20 was acquired by the Warriors earlier in the season from the Salmon Arm Silverbacks. During Adams short amount of time with the Warriors, he was able to secure a commitment with Union College(NCAA).

The Warriors would like to welcome Carter and his family to the Warriors organization and the City of West Kelowna. The Warriors also would like to wish Trevor Adams all the best moving forward with the Chillwack Chiefs.
