The Nanaimo Clippers are heading into their first U18 Season in the British Columbia Spring Hockey League and have announced their roster which is almost entirely Island born players.

“This program for us is about helping develop our local players to be better hockey players and hopefully one day play in the BCHL with the Nanaimo Clippers.” said Tali Campbell the team’s general manager “there is nothing more we want than to see our BCHL team full of local players and the best way to make that happen is to be able to spend time with them, help train them, develop them and have them get to know what we want in our players.”

The team currently sits at 19 players, two goaltenders, six defenseman eleven forwards with opportunities for other local players to still practice and AP with the U18 Nanaimo Clippers.

Chay Trickett, Brady Van Herk, Dray Doiron, Brett Merner, Ethan Toole, and Brendan Carlson

Forwards

Mile Carson, Luke Lavery, Vlad Mazur, Jordan Vincent, Dario Zitko, Conner Merriman, Drew McKinnon, Carson Merriman, Austin Montgomery-Parsons, Robbie Steel and Tavish Parkhurst.

The Nanaimo Clippers U18 Spring Season doesn’t get kicked off until mid-May where they have their first tournament on the mainland.
