Pacific FC faced off against the first-place Cavalry FC at starlight stadium on Thursday, June 30th, 2022 Which resulted in a 3-3 draw.

The first half began with Pacific looking to set the tone quickly. This game proved monumental for the Pacific as they quickly got on the board with Djenairo Daniels Stealing the ball out of the defender’s possession and tucking it past the goalkeeper to pick up the 1-0 lead at the 6’ minute mark. Daniels fell to injury during a corner kick, replaced by Manny Aparicio. Soon after his substitution, Aparicio got into a scuffle with Cavalry’s David Norman Jr. which resulted in both players being awarded red cards. With both teams down a man, Pacific kept fighting for the two-goal lead. They were gifted a goal late in the first half via the cross from Josh Heard to Gianni dos Santos which he finished to secure the 2-0 lead. Cavalry was able to get their name on the board in the added time of the first half. When Daan Klomp tucked the ball past Pacifics’ Callum Irving to bring Cavalry within one goal.

Cavalry headed into the second with all cannons firing as they were quick to tie the game. It was at the 50th minute that José Escalante scored. Minutes later Cavalry was able to succeed again and gain the lead off of a cross in which Aribim Pepple had no problem finishing it. Pacific found themselves in a bit of a hole and they worked hard at getting back. The 74th minute is where Alejandro Diaz found the cross and finished it and erupted the stadium. The game would end with neither team getting the edge but Pacific held up against the league’s best.

Pacific’s next game is July 22nd when they take on Cavalry once again.
