Victoria Grizzlies defenceman Hoyt Stanley has been named the BCHL’s High School Player of the Month for November.

This award is for players 18-years-old or younger who are attending high school full time and is based on in-class and on-ice performance.

On the ice, Stanley averaged a point per game with nine assists over nine contests, making him the fourth highest scoring defenceman in November. The 2023 NHL Draft prospect registered multiple points in three games in the month, including a career-high three assists in a Nov. 12 game against the Cranbrook Bucks.

Stanley is a Grade 12 student at Belmont Secondary School in Langford, B.C. and currently has 97 per cent in English 12 and 95 per cent in Calculus 12. He has a grade point average of 4.0 during his time in high school.
