Alberni Valley Bulldogs goaltender Hobie Heduist posted a .972 save percentage and a 1.00 goals-against average in two starts over the weekend, stopping 69 of 71 shots in a pair of wins and being named first star in each contest.

The University of North Dakota commit stopped 30 of 31 shots on Friday night against Island rivals the Nanaimo Clippers as he backstopped the Bulldogs to a 3-1 road victory. Back at home on Saturday, Hedquist got the call in the crease again, this time facing 40 shots and only allowing a single goal in a 5-1 Alberni win.

The 20-year-old from Heron Lake, Minn. has 20 wins in 33 appearances this year and owns a .912 save percentage and a 2.83 goals-against, both top-10 in the league.
