Who doesn’t like playoff hockey right, well the Jaun de Fuca Midget team is looking to do something it’s never done….Win a Provincial Title !
After winning the Midget Zone Island Championships in Nanaimo in a best of 3 winner take all series,Fuca came out flying Saturday up Island winning a close on 3-2 victory. Sunday in their home barn they blanked Nanaimo 3-0 to take a 2-0 series win that punched their ticket to Provincials.
The journey began months ago under the leadership of head coach Chris Kueber and assistants Tyler Stanton and Colin Carter. A team build on discipline, teamwork and hard hitting hockey, the young men bought into the system their coaches pressed upon them.
“A good mix of players who really get what we’re trying to do and teach is the key to success” said Keuber
With a couple of players from Kerry park and couple from Sooke ,this team is poised to do some great things at provincials.
