The Mariners earn the Island sweep on Saturday despite a massive fourth quarter by the Chargers trying to comeback after falling behind early.

The visiting Mariners shot 42% from the field led by Akoi Yuot for the second straight night and his 22 points and 15 rebounds. Cameron Gay also was solid with 19 points, hitting five-threes.

Each of the Chargers’ starters scored in the double-digits led by the 18-points from Jake Wilmott. Calvin Somers added 17 behind five-three pointers.

Douglas Royals 85

The Falcons sweep the defending PACWEST champion Royals with a massive home win on Saturday behind 41% shooting offensively. Jas Dhudwal was outstanding scoring 24 points and gobbling up 14 rebounds and Chance Samuel came off the bench and dropped 24 as well. Saleen Al-Musa also added a double-double with 11 points and 12 boards.

The Royals battled shooting 39% from the field. Johnson Corez led the way off the bench with 22 points and Ben Rabel compiled a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds.

CBC Bearcats 75

The Blues move to 3-0 on the season with another big win on Saturday. They shot 51% from the field led by Tyrone Asenoguan who played 19 minutes and scored 20 points off the bench. Starter Harry Liu added 19 and CJ Campbell had 16 in the win.

For the second straight game David Mutabazi and Varshan Srikannathasan led the visiting Bearcats. Mutabazi had 25 and 12 while Srikannathasan tallied a game high 28 points.
