October 8, 2019 Victoria, BC (ISN) – Last Saturday community minor league football saw both the PeeWee and Junior Bantam division Victoria Spartans and the Westshore Warriors do battle at Goudy Field in Langford, BC.
In the PeeWee division the Warriors would prevail, beating the third place Spartans comfortably by a 26-6 score and keep pressure on the division leading Ladysmith Steelers. With the win the Warriors hold on to second place in the Island Football League. *
In the Junior Bantam division match up the Spartans lead the Warriors at halftime in the marquis match up of the afternoon. The two teams, deadlocked in the standings are in a dogfight for first place. Stay tuned for the game result as soon as league standings are updated.
