Victoria, BC. September 18, 2022 ( ISN ) – The Vancouver Island Conference Football Association saw island minor football organizations share the win column in week two action this weekend as teams flexed their muscle with some lopsided wins.
Saturday, the Saanich Wolverines hosted the Cowichan Bulldogs at Copley park where each would come away with a win on the day. The PeeWee Bulldogs would triumph over the Wolverines with a 38-16 win, while the Junior bantam division Wolverines would shut out the visitors 32-0.
Sunday, the Westshore Warriors would battle both the Nanaimo Seahawks and the Comox Raiders at Goudy Field in Langford in battles of the North and South. The PeeWee Seahawks made short work of the Warriors 36-0, while the Junior Bantam Warriors would avenge the younger Warriors loss with a 50-7 ( unofficial score ) victory over the Raiders.
