June 15th, 2019 Victoria, BC (ISN) – The Vancouver Island Football League will set their sights on football playoff action this Father’s Day as ten minor league football teams go head to head in semifinal football play across Vancouver Island.
The Victoria Spartans will host all three of their semi-final games at Goudy Field in Langford, securing a spot for each of their Atom, Peewee, and junior Bantam division teams with semi-final games against the Cowichan Valley Bulldogs in both the Atom and Junior Bantam division, while the Peewee Spartans will meet the Saanich Wolverines.
In an up-island battle, the Ladysmith Steelers Peewee and Junior Bantam teams will play a pair of feline teams the Nanaimo Lions and Oceanside Lions on route to the Dogwood Cup. Those games will be played at Ballenas in Parksville.
